MedeA® JEMS

JEMS is one of the best programs for the calculation of TEM images and related structural analysis. It is perfectly complementary to MedeA®.

MedeA JEMS
  • Modeling, building, simulations, thermodynamic and thermomechanical property predictions are the domain of MedeA®.
  • JEMS requires structures, which come from MedeA, and then closes the loop with experiment by computing HRTEM images and electron diffraction patterns which can be linked directly with experiment.

JEMS is developed by Prof. Pierre Stadelmann at CIME-EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The image shows a simulated HRTEM image of a Σ5 (310) grain boundary in Au, the structure generated straight out of MedeA®'s Interface builder before optimization with VASP, as well as the diffraction pattern of the shown structure.
