COD (Crystallography Open Database)

The COD (Crystallography Open Database) currently contains more than 290,000 structures; with coverage of organic compounds, inorganic materials, organometallic, and mineral structures. The majority of COD structures have assigned structural types and computed powder patterns are provided for all structures.

The COD database was created by Armel Le Bail, Saulius Gražulis, and coworkers, and is maintained as a part of an ongoing comprehensive academic information management project. The development of COD has been described in several peer-reviewed papers. (Users of COD are requested to cite the papers listed here: http://wiki.crystallography.net/citingcod/ when publishing results of studies which employ the database.)

The InfoMaticA COD interface is updated on an approximately annual basis.
