Medea Training: MedeA VASP and Battery Applications

UGM-2021-Training-VASP

In this training René will show how you can apply MedeA VASP in combination with MedeA building tools to calculate voltage profiles of electrode materials and to assess the electrical conductivity at electrode/electrolyte interfaces.

We will go over examples that will allow us to discuss:

  1. Calculating phase-dependent open-current voltages of of lithium nickel oxide

  2. Creating a model for an interface between lithium metal and a solid electrolyte interface to assess electrical conductivity across the interface

  3. Calculate optical spectra that take into account excitonic effects
