UGM: Submit a Scientific Talk or Poster

We Invite You to Submit a Scientific Talk or Poster

The MedeA User Group Meeting is a unique forum for scientific and technical research communication and discussion. If you are a current customer under maintenance, we invite you to present your research to this forum in the format of either a recorded 25 minute presentation, or a poster photo submission with an optional three minute recorded presentation. These presentations will available to view on our UGM site by MedeA customers attending the UGM throughout October. See below for more details. This annual meeting provides a unique opportunity to offer feedback, to influence the development of future versions of MedeA, and to network with other MedeA users from around the world to learn how they solve research problems. Registrations will open soon for the User Group Meeting. This will include hands-on training, educational sessions, technical presentations, and the opportunity for collaborative discussion with Materials Design.

Requirements for Submitting a Scientific Presentation

Your video presentation will be a 25 minute presentation of your research, and will be available on our website throughout the month of October.

  • Name

  • Institution and location

  • Title of your presentation

  • Abstract

  • Short Bio of yourself 5 sentences or less

  • Links to your research (optional)

  • A photo of yourself (optional)

  • A graphical photo abstract

  • Up to a 25 minute recording of your presentation in .mp4 format

  • Upon file submission, use this name convention for your files:

FirstName_LastName_submission_info, FirstName_LastName_graphical_abstract, FirstName_LastName_photo (optional) FirstName_LastName_video (optional) Preferable file formats: Poster - pdf. Photo and graphical abstract - .jpg or .png Video - .mp4 (with the recommended length of up to 25 minutes) Submission info (name, location, title, abstract, bio, links to research - .docx Submit to ugm@materialsdesign.com Deadline: End of September

 

Requirements for Submitting an e-Poster

We suggest that you prepare a poster with A0 dimensions (portrait or landscape), but you are free to prepare in any size you want. The short video will be a brief presentation of your poster, and will be available on our website throughout the month of October.

  • Name

  • Title of your presentation

  • Abstract

  • A graphical photo abstract

  • Short Bio of yourself 5 sentences or less

  • Links to your research (optional)

  • A photo of yourself (optional)

  • Up to a 3 minute recording of your presentation in .mp4 format (optional)
