Congratulations to Professor Sir Richard Catlow

It is a profound pleasure to see that Professor Richard Catlow is honoured (and the UK spelling seems appropriate) with a knighthood for services to science and education in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for his remarkable and impactful contributions to scientific research. Sir Richard has had a great and lasting influence on the development of computational chemistry and particularly its application to the solid state. He has published widely, taught extensively, and developed tremendous insight into solid state and catalytic processes. Congratulations, Sir Richard, from the Materials Design community, and thank you for all your work for our field and for your friendship over the years.
