Materials Design presents at SEMICONUZ 2026 Tashkent, Uzbekistan & brings MedeA Training to Namangan State University

The conference on Semiconductor Physics and its Applications: Development Opportunities in Uzbekistan, Tashkent, September 28 – October 1, provides a high-level international forum for researchers, engineers, and industry experts to present and discuss recent advances in semiconductor materials, devices, integrated circuits, packaging technologies, sensors, and photovoltaic systems.

The conference focuses on bridging fundamental semiconductor physics, device engineering, system-level integration, and industrial applications, with particular emphasis on technologies enabling energy transition, digitalization, and advanced manufacturing. Special attention is given to development opportunities, infrastructure building, and international collaboration relevant to Uzbekistan and the broader Central Asian region.

MedeA Training Sessions

Additionally, Materials Design is pleased to announce onsite MedeA Training Sessions during SEMICONUZ 2026 on September 28, 2026, and at Namangan State University, Uzbekistan, on September 30, 2026.
The events are designed to help researchers, engineers, and materials scientists develop practical skills in computational materials modeling using MedeA and VASP.

Led by Dr. Volker Eyert and Dr. Michele Kotiuga, Support and Application Scientist at Materials Design, the trainings will combine expert lectures with hands-on demonstrations to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to the MedeA simulation environment.
Volker and Michele look forward to welcoming attendees to both trainings, during SEMICONUZ 2026 and at Namangan State University, for a productive day of learning, collaboration, and discovery. These events are excellent opportunities to unlock the full potential of MedeA and accelerate materials innovation through advanced modeling and simulation technologies.
