MedeA High-Throughput Training

Materials Design announces an online training session featuring MedeA, the industry-leading atomistic modeling and simulation software, scheduled for April 29th, 2025. This session is tailored to introduce participants to the powerful capabilities of MedeA, focusing on the capabilities to perform high-throughput calculations.

Who should attend? This online MedeA High-Throughput training is perfect for researchers, engineers, and anyone interested in mastering MedeA for advanced computational modeling. Welcomed are MedeA beginners as well as experienced MedeA users, and those who have never used MedeA before. Whether you are new to the software or seeking to expand your skills, this session offers practical insights and valuable learning opportunities.

Training Details:

  • NEW Date: Tuesday, May 20, 2025

  • Start Time:  8 am PT / 11 am ET / 5 pm CEST

  • Duration: 4 hours (including breaks and Q&A sessions)

  • Platform: Virtual only (details will be provided upon registration)

  • Format: Attendees get access to MedeA to install the software on their computers. With the software successfully installed, each attendee can work through selected tutorials with the assistance of the support team of Materials Design.

  • Fee: $300 per participant, $250 for customers under maintenance

Training Agenda:

  • Hour 1: Introduction to the high-throughput capabilities of MedeA, such as scanning through structure databases, modifying and editing structures in flowcharts, storing calculated results in databases and tables

  • Hour 2: High-throughput screening of mechanical properties of ceramics

  • Hour 3: Determining melting points of materials with correlations of properties calculated on-the-fly with structural descriptors

  • Hour 4: Calculating polymer properties such as glass-transition temperatures, elastic properties, and swelling upon absorption of moisture

What You Will Receive:

  • Access to comprehensive training materials.

  • Live demonstrations and hands-on practice sessions.

  • Expert guidance from seasoned professionals.

  • 14-day evaluation license for MedeA high-throughput modules to continue your exploration after the live session.
