Materials Design is seeking an exceptional and experienced Software Engineer with a strong scientific background.
What You Will Do
In coordination with software architect your mission consists in contributing to many areas of software development within MedeA, the world leading materials science simulation environment. You will contribute to its ongoing and increased success in coming years as the need for efficient simulation capabilities expands substantially.
Your Role at Materials Design
Developing and contributing to algorithm and functionality development to all MedeA software components, including back-end, GUIs and server-side codes integration, using a variety of languages and technologies, including C, C++, Fortran 90, Tcl, Python, OpenGL, Databases.
Taking a proactive role in streamlining development procedures and methodologies, identifying risks, and opportunities, and prioritizing transitions within complex project schedules to optimize impact and efficiency.
Contribute Designing and implementing processes for testing and validating software products.
Working effectively with colleagues in software development and other groups within the company across locations and time zones.
Assuming a proactive role in development methodologies to assist and empower colleagues in Contract Research to apply simulation and machine learning methods to solve problems in materials science for diverse customer applications.
Contributing to and achieving technology transitions foreseen by the development group
Testing and fixing bugs throughout the MedeA environment.
Working in an international team you are fluent in English.
You will be expected to grow and develop as Materials Design evolves and assumes an increasingly prominent role in the simulation of materials properties and materials related processes.

About Your Location
The office is located in Montrouge (92) in France (next to Paris).
Working remotely is possible up to 2 days a week.
