Materials Design is Hiring a position in Finance & Operations

Materials Design is a molecular simulation software development company. For over 25 years, Materials Design's scientific expertise has provided clients worldwide with powerful tools for materials simulation, optimization, and discovery.   

We are currently looking for a person to support the Finance & Operations team. Under the direction of the CFO, you will be based in our headquarters in Montrouge (92)

As Finance & Operations member of the team, you will be in charge of:

• Managing Accounts Payables and Expense reports (tracking, booking, reconciliation, filing…) (30%)

• Managing Accounts Receivables (invoicing, collections…) in connection with the sales team (25%)

• Managing incoming and outcoming messages (physical mail, digital documents…) (15%)

• Contribution to HR tasks: multi-country payroll (payments, booking, filing…) and administrative employee management (15%)

• Contributing to monthly (VAT preparation), quarterly (internal reporting) and yearly reporting (yearly closing) (10-20%)

• On a case-by-case basis:

  • Contributing to organizing local and international events and conferences

  • Coordinating office upkeep (supplies, maintenance…) 

For this position, the following skills are expected:

• Technical:

  • Proficiency with Office 365 Environment

  • Ideally, experience with accounting software

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

  • Ideally, knowledge in German

  • Knowledge in accounting and finance

  • Ideally, knowledge in HR and legal matters

• Personal:
